“This is a lovely new hotel in Blowing Rock with a great location, beautiful furnishings and decor and nice amenities. The only downsides: the high closet rod with attached hangers were hard to use, and the loud exterior door next to our room that closed very loudly. Other than that it was quite nice.”
“The room was nicely remodeled and clean. From Expedia and the hotel I received too many messages, texts, emails and had to download various attachments just for an one night’ stay. After filling out and signing an online check in form, they then want you to download an app on your phone to get you access to the room. If not, you still have go to the other hotel’s check in counter to get the code. Room was fine, just had to turn off the loud air-con and open the windows sometime during the night....
“Amenities are excellent. Front guard gate staff were very kind, helpful. Check in was easy. We had several issues in our room, brought them to the attention of the front desk 4 times throughout 2 days. Each time it appeared that we were bothering them with no action taken. Nothing was done prior to our checkout. They were t apologetic or attempted to quickly correct the concerns. The Fitness center evidently runs classes outside of guests. When I entered, was told they would be using most of...
“This is a very well-maintained older property that is convenient to central Blowing Rock. You could park here and enjoy the town without driving. Although close in, it was quiet. The manager was very attentive and helpful in making suggestions for dining.
The room was fairly small, but neat and clean. It's not fancy by Blowing Rock standards, but it had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable - I slept better than at home. The property was also nicely landscaped, with lovely outside...
“It was so quaint, the cabin was adorable. The flowers in the gardens were beautiful . Did not feel like a hotel today.
Only issue, the pillows were too big. I like soft and cuddly.”
“I would not recommend the mountainaire inn to anyone. The room #6 was musky dark and dingy and within minutes of being in there my voice was crackling from my allergies and the awful smell. Blinds didn’t pull down so you had wide open window on front porch area with no coverage.”
“The Inn is in serious need of updating. The outside and inside need cleaning and painting. The staff was friendly but because there are no amenities they just do office related things.
Positives- parking is right in front of your room and the Inn is close to Main Street.”
“We had a room with a balcony and the view was lovely. The room was spacious. You can tell the construction isn't new, but renovations make it very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and friendly. The wifi was out the day we were there and that was a little annoying.”
