“Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend ”

I arrived late due to being held up at work so called ahead, the chap on the phone was kind enough to wait 1hr30 past the check-in deadline for me to get there, thank you! Had only booked the single room for 1 night, while the room could be classed as a little snug it was nothing less than very comfortable. The room is very well presented and incredibly clean, bed was super comfy and bathroom was spotless and of a decent size. Paid extra for the Full English...

“This is a wonderful example of historic English buildings that have been updated for modern stays without losing their architectural quirks and historical oddities. Not ideal for people with limited mobility, but we enjoyed ducking under low lintels and walking over uneven floors, some of which have been around for several centuries. Our room was clean and well-provided, and though there was a leak in the clean-water part of our toilet the owner told us that the required part was on order and...

“Well presented clean room on the ground floor with excellent facilities. Food and drink excellent. Staff were incredibly helpful with any queries, we felt like one of the family. I have never commented on any other survey before this, so must have have made a very big impression ! Thank you and congratulations to your staff Matt our stay with you was wonderful. “The staff were very helpfull, the room was clean, our room was above some kind of air con or fan unit outside on the wall and it was so hot we had to have the windows open so it was a little noisy. On the Friday night there was an event on after the races.. A DJ playing music until 1.30am, we were informed of this upon check in but feel that if we had been informed a little earlier we may have cancelled our stay and booked alternative accomodation as I had a 4 hour drive home and not much sleep...
