"We stayed at the La Jolla Shores Hotel for the second week of our California vacation after a week at Disneyland. It was a much needed retreat after a busy week in the parks. The building and rooms are clearly aging and the bathroom could definitely use work but we chose this hotel for the beautiful location and easy beach access. Th restaurant was wonderful and we enjoy wonderful views and sunsets."

"I choose this hotel because I was a Hilton’s honors member and wanted to use an American Express gift card to pay for part of my stay. I opted to pay in person online however when I arrived the system could not process my gift card. The front desk staff was exceptional and friendly. They tried their best to problem solve but in the end I could not use my gift card. It was a little disappointing. Other than that it was a great location and the hotel staff was friendly and professional."

"My daughter and I had a very pleasant stay at the Sands of La Jolla. The room was very clean, and the location was close to beaches. This was one of the few hotels that does not charge $40/day for parking, and there is plenty of parking surrounding the hotel."
