"Overall, this was a great hotel and I would consider staying here again, but there were a couple of significant issues that future guests should be aware of. First, if you're assigned a room facing or near Volcano Bay, be prepared for a lot of noise. The music, screams, and general activity from the park can be extremely loud and continue late enough to make it difficult to relax or sleep. If you're a light sleeper, I highly recommend requesting a room away from the water park. My biggest frustration, however, was the experience trying to retrieve an item I accidentally left in my room after checkout. I returned to the hotel only about 30 minutes later, expecting a quick process, but due to poor communication between staff members, what should have taken a few minutes ended up taking over an hour. I was told to wait in one location for security, waited about 20 minutes, and no one arrived. When I followed up, I was directed to the front desk, then told to meet security at the room on the opposite side of the property. After making that trip, nobody was there. I was then told I needed to return to security again. The lack of coordination was incredibly frustrating and resulted in a major delay. Because of the lost time, I had to rush directly to the airport, couldn't stop to refill my rental car, and ended up paying over $200 in additional rental car fees, including a late return charge."

"Beautiful property and comfortable rooms! Loved the waterfalls and landscaping. Enjoyed the live music, the sports bar, and especially the view from our balcony room which A. D. convinced us to upgrade to! He was especially kind and helpful. Stayed one night, would like to see that parking is complimentary if you've booked a stay. I can see having to pay for parking if one is only visiting the property and not paying for overnight accommodations. Also, it was raining and we had to load our car in the rain. I propose making a drive-up area that patrons, especially overnight guests could drive their cars up and through for loading and unloading just as the valet has. I also want to commend our bartender, however it was his last day. Overall, a great stay!"

"HORRIBLE HOTEL BEAUTIFUL BUT VACATION WAS NIGHTMARE DUE TO Them idk where to begin first i was place n a 1bd standard villa 36sqft but i booked an deluxe room with full kitchen stove oven eta 76sqft so i called hotel .com cuz i ised them too book so the manager of westgate called me n hr later she been told me that she would be moving me to a different room. She apologize about the inconvenience. She asked me was I settled in yet? I said yes she said well. I would then have someone come over help you transfer your things for one room to the next after three hours passed by and then went to the front desk to get the keys. I asked about the guys that was supposed to be helping me. I was told that that can no longer go on then placed on a fourth floor of a different building. The parking lot was extremely full. I had to park three buildings over and walk. When I got to the room, the first thing I noticed is that there was a big puddle of water coming from the refrigerator later that evening when I took a shower before taking a shower I realize that the tub had so much mildew on the ceiling and that is what had the room smelling the next morning upon reaching out to management to discuss the issues the alarms were sounding in the elevator was unusable it was not working for six hours. I’m disabled with mobility issues. I was on the fourth floor and couldn’t go anywhere. While the fire alarms continually went off, I reached out was told I would get a call never did."

"Pool area is nice, the back patio area is nice. They have stuff for the kids to do if you have kids, you pay for it regardless if you have kids or not in the resort fees they tack on. Our refrigerator in the room quit working the first night there, lost all of our yogurt and milk we bought. The staff didn't offer us anything for the loss or did they even show up to fix anything. Our beach front door leaked and water covered or room floor one night when it rained soaking stuff we had on the floor. There is no storage space at all in a single king beach front room, or any room for that matter. Small cubbie holes around the tv area is all you got. It's located in a nice area but for what I payed per night I have had alot nicer stays in other resorts."

"Everything was great. My only criticism is that the ceiling in our room was peeling & hanging a bit above & to the left of the bed closest to the bathroom. I realize these things can happen, but it should be repaired. Other than this minor thing, everything was great 👍."
