"Front desk staff were polite but slightl indifferent, with the exception of one very kind staff member- Tang. She was vmvery attentive and kind. The 7th floor spa and the restaurant's staff were the reason why I gave this place 5 stars instead of 4. The entire restaurant staff made my stay delightful and warm. The food was simply but delightful. And there was one memorable elderly Japanese woman who made me feel just at home with her smiles and energetic conversation- despite not understanding one word! The views of the mountains and the stream were great to wake up to each morning and the hot springs on the top floor were something I looked forward to each night of my stay. I dont know if the water was truly a hot springs natural water, but nevertheless it was clean, and the different temperatures of each bath pool were very relaxing. Thank you Kamenoi for a terrific stay! All of the guests were Japanese, making it understanding that no one really spoke English! But again, a terrific stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Toyoko Inn. The staff were very pleasant. Very clean throughout. There are good laundry facilities, however, we were visiting family so it wasn't needed. The Ome line was nearby so it made travelling easy. It is conveniently located near shops, shopping centre and well known fast food outlets. My only suggestion would be that perhaps cereal could be offered on the breakfast menu. The food was lovely but not something we were able to eat as a breakfast. I appreciate this is just a difference in cultures and we did buy cereal & milk which we kept in our room. If you're lucky enough to get room 1402 you will have the most breath taking view of Mt Fuji! I would highly recommend this hotel and will use again on future trips. "

"This was our first experience with staying at the Toyoko chain of hotels. Our stay was so pleasant that we are definitely going to consider staying again for future visits to Hachioji. The hotel is conveniently located near Hachioji Station, where there is plenty of food and excitement. The room was cozy, without any frills, has everything you need. The staff was kind and courteous, despite some language barrier. Some staff knew plenty of English to communicate though! And the Onigiri selection for breakfast was the best - I miss it to be honest! Thanks to the entire staff for making our stay so pleasant!"
