The room was spartan but extremely clean and comfortable. Much nicer on the inside than it looks from the outside. The neighborhood was a tad sketchy but cool, and the location is convenient.

I stayed for 2 nights. Checking in and out was a breeze. The room i stayed in was tiny, but had everything advertised. On the first night there must have been someone smoking cigarettes inside, as it smelled horrible. The second night was much better. Location is excellent. Easy to get around.

The property was in a convenient location and we could walk to main streets to catch locomotion to anywhere we wanted to go. Price was good for the amount of time we spent there and the private washroom was added bonus.

Loved our room and how close we were to many restaurants and vintage store. They even let us choose on which floor we wanted our room. Even though there were some hiccups when we check-in, we had a great time.

Great location near Chinatown and the CN Tower, ideal for a budget stay. However, the shower didn’t work, our private bathroom had no doors, and there was confusion over an early check-in fee. On the plus side, the staff were generally friendly.

I booked just before the long weekend to attend a dinner in Toronto and still could book a room with a private bathroom. The double bed provided a ggod night's rest and the shower worked beautifully. A comfortable place at a great price.

Night on the town

I booked the room for a weekend for concert venues I would attend. The host set me up with a double bed upgrade in a corner suite. For quite a bit less than a big chain hotel I enjoyed a comfortable bed and a refreshing hot shower to get ready for the next concert. This location is right downtown with ready transportation though I walked to all three venues ! This place is a great deal !

For the price it’s just what you need. Nothing luxurious, but you have to remember it’s a Hostel as well. You pay for what you get these days. I would recommend if you’re looking for a budget friendly stay in TO. Very clean, comfy beds and walking distance to Kensington Market. Bonus!!
