A warm and friendly stay

Very homely establishment with friendly proprietor. Neat,clean and lovely touches regarding breakfast service. Ideal for bus routes as could leave the car and enjoy scenery and surroundings.

Liked the decor in the room, very restful shades of grey, and a pale pattened duvet cover, not the white striped stuff so popular elsewhere and a a lack of useless functionless bits of fabric draped over the bed, and equally useless cushions every where. Could have a small armchair instead of 2 "function" type chairs. very clean, fresh, and lovely smell on the bedding.

A Nice Hotel

Hotel was clean. The owner was very friendly, but a bit picky about my parking. The wifi was a bit hit & miss, but the owner knew about this, and was going to fix this issue. The breakfast was fine, and very friendly.

The hosts were lovely and very welcoming, everything was great,breakfast was lovely! Precautions in place due to Covid-19 everything was explained to us before and on arrival.

Unfortunately because of Covid things were very different, shoes off at door, could not use any of the other rooms, no housekeeping so room had to maintain by us, breakfast was served in your room, the place was pleasent to enough but it spoiled it slightly.

On arrival they are very cautious over the present situation which is good, room was clean and nice and quiet. Only one thing we found a little annoying was the wait you had once you turned on shower for hot water to arrive, Breakfast was ample and nicely presented on trays delivered to your door. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Lovely week away, home from home

We arrived late but were welcomed with a smile. Everything was done to make us comfortable and give us a really fantastic holiday. John and his wife have a lovely home and concentrate on giving their guests a really comfortable time.

A good destination

Our short stay in Newton House was hassle-free, quiet and comfortable. John and Ani clearly take their roles as hosts very seriously though always in a quiet,calm and reassuring way.The full English breakfasts are worth travelling for.

Pleasant and delightful

We stayed at Newton House B&B for 2 nights as a stopover on our way from Cornwall to London. John and Ani are a wonderful host. They were very welcoming and made our stay very enjoyable. The rooms we had were clean and the bed was comfortable. And the breakfast was tasty too. We will definitely book Newton House B&B if we visit Torquay again.
