When we arrived to check in, we were told our room was no longer available due to a “leak,” which was clearly untrue. We overheard staff discussing “Expedia” before disappearing to the back and suddenly claiming there was no room for us. They tried to send us to another hotel for the night and told us to come back the next day. After arguing, we forced the manager to personally take us there to ensure we actually had a room. Shockingly, he then tried to make us pay them for staying at a different hotel. When we refused, he became hostile, blamed us for the situation, and acted offended that we wanted to cancel—despite them not even having a room for us. Earlier that day, we had also been denied proper luggage storage. We were told their storage room was only for guests who had checked out, which makes no sense, and were instead offered some random unsecured room. This was a complete failure of service, handled with dishonesty and aggression from start to finish. "

"I have stayed here multiple times and it is the only hotel I will use in London. The decor is stunning and so well put together. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the gorgeous staircase, you know you've picked the right place. The staff are always so attentive and more than ready to help when you need it. The door is always opened for and you're always greeted with a warm welcome. If you need anything during your stay, they will make sure you have it within minutes. Whether it's extra towels, help carrying your bags, or even booking transportation, they are there to serve you and always with a smile. The breakfast buffet is top notch and a great way to start your day before exploring the city. And you couldn't ask for a better location. The hotel is across the street from the Gloucester road Underground station which houses two of the most accessible tube lines. It makes getting around London a breeze. This is definitely the place you want to stay on your holiday."

"I recently stayed at this four-star hotel and was very disappointed. The cleanliness was below the standard you would expect, with the room not properly cleaned and areas that clearly needed more attention from housekeeping. For a hotel in this category, it was unacceptable. There were also very few amenities available, which made the stay feel poor value for money. On top of that, parking was extremely expensive and felt like an unnecessary extra charge. Breakfast was another letdown. The selection was very basic, limited, and nowhere near what you would expect from a four-star hotel. Overall, this hotel does not live up to its rating, and I would not choose to stay here again."

Offered to pay for the cleaning and was told to wait until 7 days. Ok… 8th day arrived and they will “see what they can do.” Literally a lovely place, the cafe staff are amazing.
