"This is a very old historic building and I would call it "Refined Rustic". It is on a very beautiful part of the lake and very close to Hall's Boathouse where you can rent boats during the season. We ate dinner there (fine dining) and the food was quite good. The included breakfast of eggs, bacon & french toast was also good. Please be aware that there are no elevators and the stairs are fairly steep. I will request a 2nd floor next time but the steps were manageable to the 3rd floor even for seniors like us. This is my favorite lake in Georgia but you will be traveling on mountain roads so be aware of the weather and you would probably want to check in before dark. We really did love it here and plan to come back on a frequent basis."

"The room was on the ground level so walked out onto the gorgeous sprawling golf course and the lake and the beautiful pool/hot tub facilites. The location was great for where you meet to start a Clemson tour, however it's completely away from the main part of campus and the town otherwise, so nothing is really walkable from it. That's not a big deal b/c everything is a less than 5-10 min drive and the location is so pretty and peaceful it's worth it. we used the pool and hot tub at 8pm and were the only ones there and it was really lovely. The bed was incredibly hard, which was my only complaint."
