“Lovely little gem with comfortable rooms and a fantastic shower. It was a little bit noisy having the window facing the garden Pub but it closed at a reasonable hour!”

“The Lodge itself was beautiful and comfortable ideal for a family or couple with a dog, 2 bathrooms, washing machine, and so spacious!... the views of Milbrook and Plymouth from Lodge 23 are astounding. A great place to relax. Although pet friendly, I think if you own just one, well behaved dog he or she should be allowed off-lead and monitored closely...but it's a no, I understand why, but my dog is a registered working dog and it was her holiday too. Maybe a dog area should be considered...

“Lovely clean and comfortable room. The mattress and pillows felt so luxurious. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and lounge area with loads of games to help yourself to. We ate in the restaurant and the food was lovely with plenty of vegetarian options for me, good price and large portions. We didn’t use the parking as came by train and walked from the station which was a bit of a trek for two pensioners and took us...

“It was a nice hotel in a good location. Staff also nice and helpful. However my single room was TINY. Single bed squeezed in with wall at foot of bed, so my toes touched this when I stretched out. Ensuite was too small to include sink in there, so was in the bedroom. No window but a frosted window emergency door, leading me to think that where the room was was originally a corridor to this emergency exit. Also no towels left in room, which I did not notice until came back in evening when...

“Very friendly and kind staffs. Wonderful breakfast.”

“This is the second time I’ve stayed here. Wonderful boutique hotel. Extremely convenient and squeaky clean. Hospitality amazing. I’ll always be a repeat client.”

“Room was clean, basic, but had all that I needed. Bed was very comfortable but room was initially a little cool. Radiator was adjustable and it soon warmed up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu was varied, food well prepared and nicely presented. Typically pub food. Breakfast freshly cooked to order with good choice of cereals available. Bar well supplied and good, friendly service.”
