"It was a great location. Nice to be close to hiking trails and the beautiful lake. Nice to have casino and live music in the evening. I was there during the week and a lot of construction going on. By the weekend they had cleared it up. The tower we were in had a weird air conditioning system. So we had trouble figuring it out so it was pretty hot in the room. They did offer a fan. Also no WiFi access on the floor we were on. Had to go to the lobby. Luckily we were out and about most of the day."

"I stayed in a king room and the bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet from other surrounding rooms. The frig and microwave in the room was very useful. The location was very close to casinos and many restaurants. The Continental breakfast was more than that. They had a waffle iron for fresh waffles, breakfast sandwich with egg, sausage, cheese and English Muffin that could be heated up, cereals, yogurt, milk, juices, etc."

Everything felt thoughtful, welcoming, and genuinely cared for. The atmosphere was peaceful, comfortable, and very well maintained. It’s clear the owner takes pride in the property and truly cares about guests having a good experience. Small details that are often missing in bigger hotels were present here, and it made the stay feel much more personal and relaxing. If you’re looking for a place with character, warmth, and genuine hospitality near South Lake Tahoe, I would definitely recommend Black Jack."
