"Was amazing to fall asleep to the sound of lake Michigan every night and have a lil balcony overlooking the lake. Breakfast was heavy but I watched the hosts prepare a special breakfast for another guest with a gluten intolerantence so they are flexible. You can also take breakfast in your room if you don't feel like being social in the morning. This is a gem of a place and definitely worth the money. I wanna come back and stay in the room with a hot tub The location is close to door county if you wanna go on hikes and see that beautiful area but I like that it's not in that area and Algoma is a cute lil Wisconsin town that isn't as touristy as door county"

"This was one our favorite hotels of all the states we have visited. (25 states). It was a little dated, but that was what made the place so charming. The wooden furniture was older but was so comfortable. There were lots of surfaces to set things in our room. We had a window in our room with a view of the water. We opened the window so we could listen to the waves and the wind. While we were listening to the waves, we were relaxing in the 2 comfortable rocking chairs in our room. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site. The large windows in the restaurant were perfect for viewing the water. We will be visiting this hotel again in the future."
