"100% would not recommend. Tiny room, which felt like a prison cell (not that I’ve stayed in one!) sink located next to the bed along with the shower, no separate bathroom. Toilet in a cupboard! Window only opened 1” and no working aircon, just the option of more hot air being blown into an already very hot room, all whilst sleeping on a plastic mattress! Had no option but to leave the window open, which then meant you could hear the very busy road right outside, constant banging and car noise ALL night. Breakfast was very limited, fruit was not at all fresh. I understand it is a budget hotel, but I would recommend paying a little extra and staying elsewhere. The positives were the staff were all very friendly and the hotel was clean. "

"Aston hall will always have a special place in our hearts as we got married here. On our recent stay we got to experience the new rooms/decor which is really well done. We stayed in the Marwood room which was originally 2 rooms that has now been made into 1 room. The en-suite toilet needs looking at, as it’s a bit smelly. Also maybe a blind in the hall so you can move from the bedroom to the sitting room freely without being on display. The food was really nice, we had the Sunday dinner then lots of small plates at night time. Cocktails were really good too for the price. The only downside over food was staff seemed to disappear for a while at a time. Not sure if this is because the restaurant and bar are a bit further away from each other now? But all good food and drink"

"The staff was very welcoming and respectful in every sense. A group of us arrived there for our mate's funeral. Being a group of Veterans, they gave us an area we could use. Only downfall was we drank the pub dry of IPA We plan on using this hotel again. "

"Very good attention to detail. Spotless room, very friendly staff and especially the young lad bar tender - he was excellent. The food was the highlight for us - we had the giant fishcake, pate and a burger. It was by far the best restaurant experience we've had locally. Highly recommended!"
