Appalling
We booked this place as the photos we had looked at on trivago were for somewhere different. When I clicked on the link to go through to hotels.com to confirm the booking, it was for the Phongsavanh resort which I unfortunately didn't realise until a day later.
We turned up & staff couldn't find our booking & so put us in a $20 room as opposed to a $40 room.
The hotel is still sbufing site and so we had to clamber across the mud, debris & dodge the uncovered deep man holes.
The 'private balcony' looked out onto a mud field used as the laundry drying area& the area used for scrap storage.
We finally managed to speak is phone to the hotel manager. They then found our reservation & offered us the room we had paid for.
An extra single bed took up all the floor space & it smelt damp. We refused it.
We left for the afternoon, found somewhere much cheaper & nicer to stay & checked out at 8am. The builders had been working since 7am so it was nice to get away!
