"Amelia was an amazing host and provided great service. She has a very beautiful yard that’s gated for better security. The room had a big comfy king size bed with ac, tv, fridge and a rooftop patio facing the ocean. The location was nice and close to restaurants and downtown Varadero. She’s got a lovely little dog that’s nice to hang out with. I’d highly recommend staying with her. It’s your own private apartment connected to her house but you don’t hear anything. It feels like your own place!"

The room was spacious with a king size bed and had a large bathroom with twin sinks, soaker tub and a gorgeous tiled shower. Swimming is close by maybe 200m, in a sheltered bay. "This guest house stay was absolutely perfect for our time in Varadero. The host and her husband were so warm and welcoming from the moment we checked in. We were presented with fresh juice inside their house. Our actual room was also perfect including a kitchen and patio. It was so clean and had everything we needed. We were also offered breakfast both mornings for a small charge - VERY worth it and delicious! The hosts also helped to arrange our transportation back to Havana for a good price....

It's a public beach, but quiet. There is no lifeguard. Restaurants are close by, within 800m so an easy walk, but our host Jiscily makes such a wonderful breakfast that we gladly paid the extra. There is no scheduled garbage pickup in Boca, apparently, so don't be surprised if you see garbage on the streets, watch your step. There are foot washing areas near the entrance so you don't need to track sand upstairs. Thank you Olga and Jiscily for a terrific stay!"
