Small hotel with big and clean rooms, great location and good tasty breakfast.
Suggestion: Improve parking place. It looks a bit unsecure.
I' might come back.
Small, executive style, hotel with convenient location near major roads without being directly in one. The rooms have all the standard amenities found on most hotels, with tasteful decor, impecable cleanliness and attentive staff.
I booked The Clipperton as I understood that they were also a brewery and I wanted to check out the area. The brewery is in another location across town. The girls at check-in had limited English, which I’m used to. They didn’t seem to know anything about the brewery, but bottles of the beer were for sale in the cooler next to front desk. Nonetheless, they were very nice and got me into my room.
The rooms are modern and it seems to be a quite new hotel. The water in my upper story room took a few minutes to get warm and the pressure was okay, but not strong. The bed was a bit hard. The room had A/C and was clean. Wi-Fi was okay, nothing exceptional but did take a few minutes to get connected. There is a restaurant but the food was pretty generic, like many places in Veracruz. There’s really nothing nearby for breakfast or dinner. I walked 15 minutes to a busier area for breakfast each day and even further for dinner (planning for that). Likewise, because it’s off the main streets, you will have to walk around the block to hail a taxi next to the malecon.
The girls in the morning shift were in a bad mood both mornings. I thought it was just me and my lack of Spanish, but another guest brought up the same issue. I was happy to see the afternoon shift arrive. They were both nice and helpful. I probably wouldn’t stay again.
Nice and clean rooms, and jacuzzis on the roof. The staff were also very nice. I only stayed one night because I wanted to stay in centro histórico for the rest of my trip. I would recommend this hotel to travellers who are okay with the location.
It's in a part of the city that is being remodeled. It isn't evident from the photos, but the hotel itself was nice and clean and the staff was exceptional. It was also very close to a lot of great attractions and walking distance to the oceanfront.
It is an excellent hotel with great food, great a/c and wonderful bedding!
I prefer to stay closer to the historic center of Veracruz, however, near restaurants and shops.
Maybe it was my fault because I didn't ask about the size of the room, so I ended in a very small room with a big king size. It was too small for me, I felt like box in. At the end I ask for a bigger room but they said they were sold out, so I had to look for another hotel. But the service was excellent, everybody was very kind and warm from the beginning till the end.
No hoy water on my room Drunk people having parties at their room very noisy

Everything was going great until my husband and I decided to head up to the jacuzzi and the staff went in to service the room and they stole 2000 MXN ($100) from us, and one of the ladies (skinny girl with glasses) that work in the front lobby dont have manners, ignores clients and is rude and unkind.
I enjoyed my stay, only one person was a littleo unfriendly and charged me a deposit of $200 pesos for me to take out a hand towel which I had taken out before because of the heat and sweat but she said I might stealnit., a hand towel, come on. Anyway that was the only bad thing

Disappointment
Hotel was almost empty and they gave us the worst located room.
No ocean view.
They advertise hot tub. One didn't work. The other one was just cold water with jets.
Such a disappointment.
Too expensive for a mediocre everything

The room we stayed in which was a small suite was excellent. The staff were very nice ,breakfast is poor not worth Getting it's over priced you can tell the owner is spending the minimum to maintain his hotel. The one Jacuzzi the temperature was broken and the other Just comfortable enough you couldn't make it any warmer, the railings on the rooftop bar were loose so if you push on hard enough you could go over the side. The roof over bar was starting to disintegrate tells Me that the owner is only spending money when he has to. And safety's Of his clients is not the most important thing
Todo muy bien, excepto por el agua que a veces salía muy fría y el agua caliente tardaba mucho en salir y duraba poco. Un día solamente falló el internet, pero todo lo demás increíble, desde la recepción, hasta el comedor y la habitación siempre impecable.
