The hotel is charming, clean, and convenient as it is right across from the metro and close walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. The room was quite small/cozy but clean, and had a comfortable bed and pillows. A few small things to note - our room was on the first floor so a bit noisy (trains, late night music from restaurants) and it was not assessable by the elevator so we had to climb a tight spiral staircase with luggage. We were not told ahead of time and no one offered to assist us but we managed. The room did not have a small fridge or coffee maker/kettle which was a bit inconvenient. The breakfast buffet doesn’t open until 7 am so, if you need early morning coffee, you will be charged extra at the reception desk. In general, I recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

"Was excited to stay on the square with the cathedral, but the inability to pull up to the hotel and no elevator plus an incredibly narrow spiraling staircase made getting in and out feel down right dangerous. Vézelay Abbey or Abbaye Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Vézelay is a Benedictine and Cluniac monastery in Vézelay in the Yonne department in northern Burgundy, France. The Benedictine abbey church, now the Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, with its complicated program of imagery in sculpted capitals and portals, is one of the outstanding masterpieces of Burgundian Romanesque art and architecture. Sacked by the Huguenots in 1569, the building suffered neglect in the 17th and the 18th centuries and some further damage during the period of the French Revolution.
