“This is a fantastic place to stay. Kangaroos and large sulphur-crested cockatoos feel like part of the cottage itself. You naturally greet the animals as you see them around, and in the early morning you wake up to unique bird sounds that make you feel as if you are in the middle of the forest. The fireplace in the living room is wonderfully warm, and both the indoor and outdoor dining areas are excellent.”

“Kitchen was well equipped but had no oven. Was clean with a comfortable bed. Perfect quiet gardens with lots of animal life. Great for holidays without young kids as the grounds are serene.”

Honestly, the cabins have seen better days and were a bit rough round the edges but, it was fully equipped for a family to stay (only 2 of us) and had pretty much all we needed. Beds were comfy, everything worked and thank god there was enough heating as it was FREEZING COLD down there. It is a bit tricky to find at first off badger rd. “If you are looking for a cottage in the woods that gives you a camping feel and is a stones throw from the water and township, then this is the place for you. I absolutely loved the fireplace.”

“I think the photos give the impression that this property is a little more "together" than it actually is. Whilst the bed linen and towels were on point and the bedding itself very comfortable, I'm afraid everything else was old, tired and mismatched making it feel more like someone else's holiday shack than simple cottage. The equipment in the kitchen is mismatched and hodge-podge and very minimal. Bring everything if you plan on cooking here, including utensils and oil etc. No milk was...
