"Venue was very comfortable, clean & warm, but the outstanding feature was the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. It’s a beautiful building, though showing some signs of age related heavy use, but this adds to the great character of the hotel. I will have no hesitation in returning. "
"We were greeted by friendly helpful staff at reception on our arrival.
The small bags of lavender at the lift entrance were a lovely touch.
The room was spotless, the bed very comfortable and I slept like a log.
There was a good selection for breakfast.
Parking was £10, but we ended up in the car park over the road (also £10) as the hotel car park was full.
We would stay here again."
"The staff were excellent, especially at check-in/check/out. Location is central to everything you want to see and very walkable to nearby shops and restaurants right along the bridge/river. Beds were very comfy and room was clean. Updated bathroom. My only critique os that the floors un my room creaked so bad. I was on the 1st floor, so I don't know if any rooms were underneath me, but if there were, I feel bad for whoever was underneath me. I was tiptoeing around to minimize the creaking of the floors. Other than that, really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again."
