"The hotel is in an excellent central location, right in the heart of Wakefield and close to all the nightlife and entertainment. The welcome sheet describes this very cleverly, although in practical terms it does mean it can be quite noisy outside until around 3am. I stayed on a Saturday night so mid-week may be quieter. On the plus side, the location makes eating locally incredibly easy, with plenty of places to eat less than a minute away. The keyless entry for both the hotel and the room is brilliant and very convenient, which makes the whole stay feel smooth and modern. My room was very clean and perfectly suited for a one-night stay. There were plenty of fresh towels provided, and the bathroom was nice, with a hot shower that was very welcome. Overall, it is a clean, convenient and well-located place to stay, especially if you want to be right in the centre and do not mind some late-night noise."

"Very well run establishment, helpful staff, the restaurant dinner was well above average pub standard, good choice of fish main courses. Freshly cooked eggs for breakfast made a nice change in addition to fruit and cereal. Safe parking and easy access from the M1. "

"Senior staff poor interaction with us. Windows had handprints on No clear information at check in. Disorganised staff at breakfast. Anticipating a served breakfast not a buffet’. Saw menu but not out. Luke warm water for tea! Rubbish."
