“The hotel isn't sound proof at all. It's a hotel made out of a large house. While i was staying, it sounded like the guys next door were in my room because i could hear their every step and chat and felt really insecure because of that. The bathroom and toilet are shared which i didn't expect at all. At least they are kept clean and there's daily cleaning service. The room had a basin. There was no shower gaun though towels were provided. They had good heating on.”

“Amazing property (the actual Chateau). I can’t comment on the bedrooms in this building as we were given a room in The Lodge. The Lodge is a building nothing like the Chateau, so was certainly missold to us with no photos on their website - was probably built in the 1960s - and needs thousands of pounds to be spent on it to make it presentable. “The room was spotless and white bed linen crisp and white. However the overall rating was let down by historic carpet stains in abundance throughout the property. The sash windows either need repairing or replacing and the glass was blown therefore affecting the view. Also one of the windows could not be closed and the others couldn't be opened. “We checked ourselves in and left a couple of hours later (no staff seen). I hadn’t realised I’d booked a room with shared bathroom and the bathroom was on first floor and we were on the second - we only saw one shower and 2 toilets for all the shared rooms. There’s half carpet in the standalone toilet, which is gross. The rooms themselves are fine, a bit rough round the edges.
