“We first stayed in Nov 24. This time we stayed Apr 26. Previously we were in the Annex, but this time we were in the main building. The room was large and nicely decorated. I booked two rooms as our adult daughter came too. Both rooms were cold even though the heating was on, but its an old building, so probably difficult to heat. “Great staff & a lovely clean & quite room. ”

“Room was ok . Dull dark decor and v small television. Table light worked but wonky and carpet threadbare in some areas . Clean . Check in was not very welcoming , lady seemed rushed and no pleasantries . Asked for more milk which didn’t get . Meal in the evening was good . Sticky toffee sauce was more like weak caramel. Decided not to stay the night so returned home so can’t comment on breakfast. Staff serving meal v good . ”

“Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back”

“Parking was fine, breakfast was good with normal selection. Pool was good, they laned it off so you had areas to swim or play. Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all over 16 only and good. The down sides were :- no fridge in the room and they only make up rooms after 3 days, so no clean mugs/glasses. You could get tea and coffee from reception to put in the dirty mugs! “The hotel is really nice, the twin room we stayed in, although not as big as some, was cosy and well equipped. With a coffee machine and mini bar, a wide screen tv and a fabulous ultra modern wet room, it had everything we wanted in a hotel stay. Reception staff were very welcoming and efficient, and the bar was a small and intimate space to enjoy a drink. The only downside to our stay was the breakfast. “The Skipton needs updating. The shower curtain rail was held together with duct tape and falling off the wall. The bath traps would not turn off without serious effort. ”
