โLocation perfect - near train station and short walk to all the sights. Staff was amazing. Room spacious. Food was great. Special shout out to concierges - Joseph and Nigel for assistance in recovering luggage the airline delayed. Highly recommend!!โ
โCommunications before during and after our stay was superb. Our room was spacious spotless and free from any other guest noise. The small treats in the room were a nice touch. The only slight issue was no shower gel in the bathroom so I had to use my wifeโs. At least it made me smell sweet . Unfortunately due to our early start we didnโt have breakfast which did smell really nice. We are doing the York 10k event again and will stay here preferably room 14 โ
โThe hotel was clean and conveniently located (about a 10 min walk from the railway station). It isnt super close to the city center (about 20 min), but the walk isnโt too strenous (no hills!). Would recommend.โ
โThis place was great! We were having trouble getting in and our host immediately responded to our call and walked us through the process. Once inside, we found a spotless apartment with super comfortable beds. Showers were great, as was the washer/dryer for our clothes. Having a FREE parking space was really nice, too.
The place was really close to all of the main attractions of York, as well. We were able to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to see. โ
โWe had a fantastic stay at The Vanguard in York. Set in a residential area, itโs a well-located base just a 15โ20 minute stroll from the cityโs main attractions.
The interior was spotless, modern and well-equipped. Self check-in was easy, and communication via WhatsApp was smooth and efficient. The manager was responsive and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay โ including arranging parking (on-street or off-street) and a late check-out that made our final day much...

โReally nice stylish hotel with lovely staff and facilities. Because of a delay we arrived at the hotel after the cut off for breakfast but they went out of their way to get us a bite to eat,only a bacon bun but much appreciated. โ
