We checked in on July 2, 2026, and our first impression of the Freebird Motor Lodge couldn't have been better. The property has a fun, fresh vibe with clean, colorful décor that immediately sets the tone for a relaxing Cape Cod getaway. The location is fantastic close to everything while still feeling like the perfect place to unwind. What really made our arrival stand out was the staff. Charmin greeted us with a warm smile, was personable, informative, and genuinely funny. She made check-in quick, answered all of our questions, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Friendly staff like Charmin truly make a difference and add to the overall experience. We're so glad we chose the Freebird Motor Lodge and are looking forward to enjoying the rest of our stay!

Pool, Hot tub and staff were all great. I just had a hard time with the musty, mildewy smell in the room. Maybe it needed aired out? Maybe there was some mold around the AC unit? If that is addressed, Freebird would be a great place to spend the weekend on Cape Cod.

This was the first time I have stayed in a motel in decades so I was pleasantly surprised at how updated, nicely decorated and clean the room was. I chose this place due to the close proximity to Hyline ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. The room was large with a comfy seating area but bathroom was very tiny and quite a tight space to maneuver in. I would have preferred a standup shower instead of tub/shower combo but it worked. The bed was very comfortable with crisp new sheets and pillows. We chose a ground floor room because there was no elevator and we didn’t want to lug heavy suitcases up to the upper level. The first night was fine but the 2nd night there must have been a family with a small children above us because I could hear footsteps pounding across the floor which woke me up in the morning. We didn’t use the pool or outdoor areas but they looked perfect for families.

Great hotel and location

My husband and I just stayed at the Freebird for a quick getaway. The hotel was fantastic. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean. We loved the hot tub , pool and cabanas . We highly recommend hotel and it was very convenient to restaurants like Yarmouth House, Skippers, Pirates Cove mini golf and beach. Great location.
