Be cautious with your expectations….for a $350+ per night stay, I expected better. This place is overpriced. Know that there are 2 restaurants and 1 bar on the property for all the visitors staying there. All the restaurants are overpriced for the quality. The good: Views are nice. Pool is nice. Patio is nice. Stillwater’s Restaurant breakfast buffet was good. Lightburn’s views and service was good. The not-so-good: No hot water in the mornings….front desk seemed to acknowledge the problem but didn’t seem to care. Muskie’s Bar took over 2 hours…service was slow/poor and food not great. Lightburn’s food is not great for the price. Lobby not clean. The rooms are basic and a little dated. Do your homework before you go…especially if you have kids. Set your expectations a little lower, this is a state park resort. Advertisements paint this place as much nicer than it really is. If it was more in line price-wise with $150/night and the dining options were better, I would have enjoyed the stay. Disappointed and will not be returning.
