"Stayed for two nights and was very impressed. All staff we encountered were very kind, the facility smelled and looked clean at all times. Very close to everything we were there to see and more! Would definitely stay again."

"Lovely place to stay. Right across street from Wm&Mary. Easy walk to historic Williamsburg. Innkeepers friendly and helpful. Lots of charm and presidential themed decor."

"Staying the night was not bad. It definitely was showing it's age. With the walls being very thick, it was quiet in the room, which was nice. The heat was provided by a portable heater on the counter. The clerk was very friendly and helpful."

"The pool clean but the hot lukewarm. Staff had it set at 85 degrees and wouldn't turn up the temperature. The building structure of the hotel had cracks and wood window frames falling apart or missing. Breakfast was bagels, cereal and muffins. Our toilets in both rooms worked only half the time. I had to find a plunger to unclog the toilet. At check-in the desk person tried charging my cc twice and wasn't going to give us our rooms. I prepaid for 2 rooms. Overall visit 1.5 stars."

"It was a very cute room. Very historic. There were ants all over however. But the location was the best. If you are looking for a quiet retreat the Market Square Tavern rooms are not for you. The cannon goes off a lot and drum and fife play frequently. But you can walk everywhere from it."
