"dirty stair carpet at the entrance gives a poor introduction. Our basement room was ok for one night. Dinner in the restaurant was good but the attitude of some staff was unfortunate and some were scruffy. Very interesting architecture and history."

"Wonderfully located inside the city walls and just a few minutes’ walk from the railway station. My room was enormous. The spa is the real star of this hotel: the hydrotherapy pool, saunas, and hammam room are lovely."

"Only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is because the check staff tried to charge me for a booking I had already paid for - good job I was on the ball and had a receipt to prove. Room was great (albeit hot) and breakfast was also great, lovely restaurant staff, would definitely recommend and location was also a bonus."
