Gibson Island Adventure Vacations

Nice spot- stayed here during a business trip. pros: comfy beds good pillows, lots of different lighting options, decent water pressure and a Mini fridge in the room and the temperature was comfortable. Cons: I was confused about the breakfast (it comes with some stay and not others but it was never offered as an option at check in and no explanation). Not sure what the extra $70 “resort” fee is for as I don’t believe there are any “resort” style amenities.I had to hunt down the ice machine (it’s on the 2nd floor btw). Could use a little spot to purchase snacks/soda/water, etc… since there’s no room service. Wanted to order from the restaurant downstairs but there were no menus or contacts in the room so I ordered door dash. Overall, I had a good stay, there’s just a few details and some clarification from the staff at check in, that I believe would have made it better.

We especially enjoyed the location in walking distance to the White House and the Washington Monument.

Had a great stay. Awesome breakfast buffet.

I liked the room; nice to have a Nespresso machine. Bathroom was kind of funky - semi-opaque walls showed silhouette of person in shower. Rooftop bar overlooking White House and Washington monument was nice but cost $70 for 3 drinks. I really did not like the loud party music in the lobby. There was no quiet place to work, talk or make a phone call. Maybe this was done to drive people out of the lobby! Almost no one sitting there. Hotel location was great. I’ll try another hotel next time. Bed was comfortable. My wife was disappointed by the change in environment from a warm & friendly lobby to one that was stark and seemed to drive us out. Staff was friendly once you found them. Didn’t try meals.
