The staff were great, but the facilities really need an upgrade. Our air-conditioning wasn't working properly in our room meaning the temperature was around 25-26.5°C during our 4 night stay. The toilet blocked continuously, meaning maintenance were coming in at least once a day to unblock it. Breakfast was great. The ferry across to Canary wharf was really handy. But this really didn't feel like a 4 star hotel.

Stays at this hotel are always pleasant, it is a great location for Excel. Staff are always very professional and friendly. I would like to see improvement in the quality and taste of breakfast and dinner. I feel this greatly let’s the experience down.

"Stayed in a family deluxe room with my husband and 3 teenage kids. The hotel was fantastic and the addition of the free ferry from canary wards was brilliant, we loved it.
