Overall could have been great experience. Hotel has rooms with very spectacular views. I would put 5 star, but hotel end up double charging us for breakfast which also had very low quality. Staff at reception was misleading to say the least.... and phone call post stay also never helped. Fridge wasn't working in one of the rooms we have booked (minor for us), breakfast quality terrible (never should have taken), communication with staff, well let's say could be better (better to keep minimal if won't to avoid confusion), otherwise excellent place to stay. Loved: free water, laggage could be left longer for "free" even after checkout, room cleaning excellent, view from room fantastic, room amenities good, overall positive experience if excluding breakfast related part.

I wanted my daughter’s first trip to NYC to be memorable - and that included where we stayed - so The New Yorker was perfect! It was just what we had hoped for - a piece of history but with all the modern conveniences!
It was also a short walk from the train station when we arrived, we were able to check in easily and felt safe the entire time!
We walked to many attractions and even caught some Ubers very easily!
Highly recommend for a memorable experience!!!
