We spent our honeymoon at Sunset at the Palms and it was truly a peaceful and relaxing escape. The resort has a calm, intimate atmosphere, and the beach was always quiet—perfect for unwinding. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Concierge team checked in on us almost every day to make sure we were enjoying our stay, which was much appreciated. The service overall was excellent, and the food was fresh and flavorful. Our room was clean and comfortable, with daily housekeeping available upon request. We did notice a few small bugs here and there, and we got a few bites from sand flies at night, but it wasn’t a big issue. We’re not very familiar with the tipping culture, so we hope our appreciation was still felt. With kind people, good food, and reggae music playing in the background, it was a lovely and memorable honeymoon.

The location and beach were excellent, family-friendly, and we enjoyed the setting. The food was okay but could be improved, especially with more seafood options. The pool area didn’t appear consistently clean, and some corners had dark foam that was noticeable. The biggest issue during our stay was the lack of towels. We were a party of three but only received two towels, and despite calling housekeeping, guest services, and reception daily, no additional towels were delivered. I eventually had to use a pool towel. Even when I went to reception in person, they promised to send towels but never did. I also felt uncomfortable that some of my personal items in drawers and closets seemed disturbed, even though nothing was missing. It’s important for housekeeping to respect guests’ personal space.

I enjoyed my stay the entire time at Ocean Eden Bay!! The staff was super friendly and made sure I was okay wherever I was on the property. The food was so amazing at every restaurant, including the buffet. I loved the extra large pool that allowed a room wherever you wanted to sit. Plus beautiful, modern, super clean rooms. I couldn't ask for a better time for my first solo trip.
