Burlington was first settled in 1641. Appreciate its colonial past, evident in the many red brick houses lining its streets. Walk along the Heritage Trail to see the town’s historic buildings. Step back in time at the Woburn Second Parish Meeting House, one of the state’s oldest religious buildings. Built in 1732, the large white-sided building was an important meeting site for the Patriots during the American Revolutionary War.

Explore Burlington by foot or car. Sidewalks line many of the streets in town, but because most destinations aren’t located within walking distance of each other, it’s advisable to have a car. Boston is just 17 miles (27 kilometers) southeast. In under 30 minutes, reach the state’s bustling capital city.
