"The staff are very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The Front Desk staff provided us with excellent customer service especially Olive Morales, she is amazing! Barcelo Tropical amenities are good. Food, drinks and daily events at the pool are good as well. The nightly shows at the theater could have been better. The market inside the resort is great, and walking distance from where we stayed - this is an added bonus! Overall, our stay at Barcelo is excellent! Would recommend to...

"There are many amenities offered which is excellent, unfortunately the staff does not give any of this information upon arrival and you have to find out on your own. Also the staff is unfamiliar with the property so it’s hard to get any directions to get to different areas of the property."

"Beautiful property close to ocean. Pool was nice but by noon it felt more like a hot tub due to the sun. Difficulties with air conditioning and electric. The front staff was quick to get it fixed. Within walking distance to lots of restaurants food carts and shopping. "

"Have been there many times. The staff is great. Always happy to help. Beach area and the water is very nice. The food is good, omelets every morning for me. Admittedly the proprty is a little old and they are constantly trying to maintain it. Have seen some negative comments before. My thought is you get what you pay for and El Cozumeleño is always a great deal!"
