“The food was good. We paid extra for pool view and the pool was under construction the whole stay & they did not refund us. The smoke detector kept going off for hours in our room annoyingly even though there was no smoke we informed front desk it was never sorted till hours later. The heater was not working in the bedroom either.”

“This was a disappointing stay, and the poor service made it worse. At Scores restaurant, we asked for a menu and the waiter simply pointed toward the corner instead of helping us. Several staff members seemed bothered by basic requests. We also felt that Black guests were not treated as warmly as white guests. One female security guard was particularly rude and spoke about us while standing right beside us. When we contacted the Expedia representative whose number we had been given, it took...

“A bif difficult to get our room clean. We requested 2 cleanings for the week but they did not come the second time. I let housekeeping know she aaid we were not on the schedule. We were able to pick up towels. This was the only issue and the view sure made up for it.”

“Staff were super friendly and very helpful. Our room was lovely and having your own plunge pool was an amazing experience and great to cool off after a hot day. Very tranquil and beautiful. Only complaint was the food was just ok. The bbq night was really delicious. Felt we overpaid for the floating tapas to our room as well. Was very disappointed in that. Our server Maxine was awesome and went over an above.”

“The location is stellar for the views and the beach, even commuters to the airport. The property is having major construction done and is obviously not ideal. Otherwise it is very quaint and suffice for a short stay.”

“It was our third time staying at Dickinson bay cottages. We love the proximity to the beach. This time we were in a 1 bedroom. The room was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We like the updated washroom, but the towel bar needed to be affixed more securely, possiblyina better location.”
