"Berkey himself is a gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. His communications are excellent and once there, he will be there for you. He attends to details and has pride in this hideaway. It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. "Horrible Experience – Never Again Our stay was a disaster from start to finish. The internet didn’t work at all. The first room we were given smelled strongly of human waste. The second room was no better—my sister got locked inside the bathroom, and staff had to kick down the door to free her. The food options were extremely limited, tasted terrible, and made my entire family sick with food poisoning. When we raised these issues, the owner offered us extra time at the property as compensation—absolutely not, given everything we went through. This place is unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unprofessional. I would not recommend it to anyone."

"Excellent stay: rooms are clean and comfortable. A/C worked great, shower was awesome and surrounding views are beautiful. Great restaurants in town as well as small grocery store and ATM. Property manager was polite, courteous and helpful (he met us at the property). He had the hottub waiting for us nice and hot!"

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem."
