โPretty clean, like most other hotels in the area, some things were worn and need updating, but not a deal breaker for us. We would have liked more pillows available.โ
โThe reception was awesome - smores for the kids at the firepit outside along the harbour and free complimentary margaritas for the parents upon arrival!โ
โThe price was right. The room was clean. There were a few things that could be better: The elevator became noisy, there was some broken glass in the window next to the elevator on the 5th floor, and the light in the bathroom would not stay on but rather blinked, but you get what you pay for. I would return.โ
โThis is definitely a work in progress. Our room was spacious and clean. The hotel was quiet for the most part and the staff was very friendly. It's clear a family has taken on the job of restoring this property to a new, beautiful standard. I was pleased with the location, the price and our room. The elevator is a little scary at the moment, but I'm sure it will be fixed. I look forward to seeing it fully restored.โ
โGreat hotel and a great deal. Super close to shopping and beaches. If you are beach hopping the coast, this is one of the best places to stay for location alone. So many great perks to staying here.โ
โWe liked everything about this property.
We will be telling others about Candlewood Suites. We will be staying again in the future. I really loved the cuboards and the fact that they were stocked with plates, cereal bowls, salad bowls etc. Drawers had silverware for for 2 people plus can opener etc. Stove refrigerator microwave. This is top notch. Staff was so polite and enjoyable too. We came down from Cheboygan MI for a funeral this made our trip worth it.
