"While the property and main hotel had lots of charm, the cabana that we stayed in had lost much of it. It clearly had not been upkept over the years. There was a general mildew smell that caused havok for those with allergies and no one dared to sit on the futon that was discolored to a brown/yellow color more than the white it had been originally. Breakfast waa decent and staff were fine, but overall I likely wouldn't stay here again."

One of the maids was also in charge of the front desk when we arrive (at 11Am...early). She stop was she was doing to help us out and check us in (early check in). "I stayed at Hotel los Helechos 2 while visiting Iguazu falls for two nights. If you stay here make sure the taxi or shuttle bus driver does not get mixed up and drop you at the wring hotel. There is a Los Helechos 1. The staff at reception were OK but not likely to help too much if there is a problem. My room was large but very basic and run down. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the centre of Puerto Iguazu where the bus station, shops, and restaurants are. Breakfast was very average. "
