"The property is located slightly off the beaten path, with the office situated in a separate area. While the rate of $85 per night is affordable and appreciated, the condition of the room left much to be desired. Upon entering, there was a very strong and persistent odor of cigarette smoke throughout the space. The smell appeared to be deeply embedded, rather than something that could be easily aired out. Additionally, there were visible burn marks along the sides of the bathtub, suggesting prior indoor smoking and a lack of thorough maintenance. While I understand the pricing reflects a more budget-friendly stay, the cleanliness and air quality significantly impacted the overall experience. I was fortunate to have air freshener on hand, but it did little to fully address the issue. With improved cleaning and attention to odor removal, this property could offer a much better experience for guests."

"Discussing. Stinks. Blood on bathroom walls. Ripped carpet. Rusty lamp. Dishonest staff. What a dump. Paid for two nights, Friday and Saturday checked out Saturday AM because it sucks - was told a refund would be provided for Saturday and have not received it or a response to multiple contact attempts. Person speaking with hotels.com hung up on them. They do smile at least when they rip you off!"

"Whole place is dated. Room was old, and "patched up" in several places. They didn't replace towels or clean the room the whole week. We asked for housekeeping service and they came and only made the bed, and gave us a few towels. They didn't clean the bathroom, or even empty the garbage cans. The breakfast bar had no proteins, only cereals and breads. The hot tub did not get hot, and most evenings the pool and hot tub were closed well before the posted closing time. We were in town to visit our grandchildren, and were hoping to bring them back to the hotel pool. The hotel charges $30 per non registered guest for 2 hours of pool use, which is ridiculous, especially when the place was empty. The owner is quite obviously trying to save money instead of spending money to make it better to get more people to actually want to stay there. I would not stay there again. There are much better places in Shelby."

"Absolutely would not recommend. I went to check in and there were drops of blood all over the lobby floor and outside on the sidewalk. Apparently, someone was just stabbed at the motel. Three police cars arrived and I never went to my room. I have children and left immediately. I requested a refund and Expedia refused."
