“We stayed at this cozy little place the night we arrived in Papeete and again before flying out. The free airport shuttle was a lifesaver - staff were extremely friendly and did not hesitate to accommodate our 2 a.m. airport drop-off for our 4 a.m. flight. The rooms were simple but spotless, and it’s clear they put care into the decor - the beds were SO comfortable. Overall, a super convenient and welcoming stay!”

“The hotel appears to be fairly new. The room smelt of fresh paint, clean and a good size. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and kitchenette area was a good size. The location is approximately 15 minute taxi drive from the airport, which was perfect, especially with an early morning flight. The only disappointment is no onsite restaurant. “The resort was above and beyond our expectations. The breakfast buffet was outstanding - especially the fresh pastries and the omelette bar manned by Heinz. The snorkeling right off shore was fabulous. If we ever are able to return to Moorea, we will definitely stay at the Sofitel Kia Ora again!”

“Seriously a hidden gem on Moorea. The renovations are modern and lovely. The rooms are very sizable with a convenient and useful kitchenette. The beach/swimming/snorkeling area is a standout! You have your personal coral reef with all kinds of beautiful sea friends. Finally, the restaurant and bar are 5 STAR. Fantastic choices on the menu. We ate some of our best meals here! The happy hour sunset is a must. Some live music really added to the ambiance.”
