The check-in was "meh" at best. Something with Hotels.com slowed the process down to about a 20 minute ordeal. Holiday Inn had to call hotels.com because of a issue with how it was "paid for". That's the first thing.
The room was very nice in overall appearance. BUT later we found out a number of things that we brought to the front desk's attention:
1. The fan in the room made a terrible, terrible sound when it came on. It kept us awake! We had to turn it off and my wife was cold the entire night.
2. The shower. It took almost 15 minutes...15 MINUTES for the shower to run hot water. WHY???
3. The toilet. It took a number of presses for the toilet to flush a full bowl. We should be able to press the button on the toilet and walk away. No, this required up to 3 times to press it & hold it for about 10-15 seconds to even flush a piece of toilet paper down.
The room, overall was very, very nice! Well presented and very cozy. If it weren't for those 3 items I mentioned above, it would have been a perfect stay.
As a side note, my sister and her husband stayed on the same floor, a number of rooms down. They too had issues with the shower so I know it wasn't just our room.
