We have stayed at the homewood side before and it was clean, fresh, updated. Not the same with the Tru side. This was the one time we stayed on that side and won’t stay on the tru side again. Room size was fine but not as clean or updated

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The location is nice right next to crossgates mall, but when I arrived they switched to a double queen size room when I ordered and paid for a king size bed. To be fair, they attempted to call me to tell me that the king size room wasn’t available but honestly, if it wasn’t available then it shouldn’t have been available to rent out. When I came back downstairs and inquired why I didn’t have a king size bed, the manager came out and arranged for me to have a room with a king size bed. I felt room was not as clean as I had hoped, there were dirty wheel marks on the room floor (not sure what from), the shower could have been cleaned better - the floor felt slimy, the main shower head I also couldn’t get to work. So I needed to use the secondary handheld one for my shower. For the price point of this hotel, I definitely expected more. Other than those setbacks, the pillows were nice and the bed was very stiff. Powered shades were nice, and the hot water and water pressure in the shower was decent. Will I rent a room here again? No, probably not - considering it’s a new hotel I definitley had higher expectations - these are basic things.
