Awesome place. I'd stay there again!
The place was clean and very spacious! Our unit had 3.5 bathrooms, which was great for the 5 of us. We had our own pool and they gave us beach/pool towels. The resort/complex is beautiful and everything is new and contemporary. I'd definitely stay there again.

The location to the beach is unbeatable and the villa space is great! It was modern style with no carpet, rugs, plants to absorb sound so it was echoey and loud inside. The modern cabinet knobs were hard to use because they were so small which made opening the refrigerator and cabinets difficult. The backyard doors only opened one way so if the door was fully shut, whoever was outside would be locked out. With a couple adjustments, this place would be exceptional! The concierge was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Eateries in the area were tasty and well priced.

The good: Spacious, has all the basic amenities including laundry, kitchen is reasonably well stocked, spacious bathrooms, spacious bedrooms. The pool is a bit cold but nice to have and the pool deck is spacious to lay out and/or to eat lunch/dinner. Close to beach. The bad: Very subpar/dated furniture - in fact the whole unit looked empty for the most part. Beds were VERY firm. There were ANTS! Tons of small red/black ants in the bedroom and in the kitchen/dining area. We told the resort staff about this and they mostly brushed it off. Certainly made no effort to address it. No cleaners to be found anywhere on site. The staff were friendly enough - we had a good experience but we did run into guests who had a lot of complaints about the service and the villas themselves. Overall a dated residence that is desperately in need of a facility upgrade and please do something about the ants.

Very big villa with spacious room, pool and yard. You only walk 5 min to go to the beach and you have a golf just beaide. Great for big family’s. The villa’s around beautiful a lot of windows,high selling and minimalist decor. They would need a bit of refresh and repairs. Would come back anytime.

Great Size Villa, Will be back again
Oct 21 - 7 Night Stay @ Salgados Our family holiday was great staying here, nice 5 mins stroll to the beautiful beach, where you could walk towards Albufeira way or the other way where you could find beach cafe/restaurants to enjoy. The grounds were well kept and tidy, the 3 bed townhouse we stayed in was so large, everything was there that we needed, A/C was very cold but we did not need it due to the weather, the pool was the only negative being so cold we could not use it. There are a few restaurants in walking distance, we only used the beach "Os Salgados" (best Sangria) as others were closed or fully booked, highly recommend "Don Dinis" about a 5 -10 min drive away for some great food and fantastic service, we hired a car to get to Albufeira and the airport, there was off street parking and private parting under the villa for 2 cars per villa so the car was not hot like an oven from being in the sun

Great villa in great location.
Great villas in a great location. The Villa is very nice and well equipped. The only downside is that the pool is not heated so ok during the summer but at other times, it would be cold. One other thing to watch out for is the villas are used for weekend weddings and you may experience music being played until 4 or 5 am at weekends as we did on one weekend from a Villa three doors away. Apart from that, great Villa.

The place is wonderful but plenty room to improve. Positive: I like the private swimming pool and it is only 5 mins walking to the beach. A good kitchen with plenty of options. Negative: Villas are good but maintenance is just so so. the lighting is not very bright and some sockets aren’t working. The patio doors are difficult to open/close. Overall I like it - but with a little bit extra care the place will simply be amazing.

Step Back in Service
After seven years of visiting the same 'resort' and staying in the same villa type, this year was certainly a 'step back' in the experience. The Villa was this year not part of the overall complex or hotel and facilities could not be used, daily cleaning reduced to once a week, small problems which were usually fixed needed constant hounding of staff. Thankfully being a regular visitor we could find our way around these, but the overall experience had it been our first time, maybe wouldn't have been as good or as forgiving.

Some of the outdoor furniture requires maintenance, umbrella shredded, few broken tiles in pool etc., curtains a little torn and old. But overall a great villa stay.

The property was very large and minimalistict with lots of space but not welcoming. The TV was way too small for the size of the room. The back door did not close properly and it took two-days from reporting to be fixed!!

Lovely setting, great access to beach. Villas are private but easy access to hotel. Setting lovely and very peaceful. Staff helpful and enthusiastic Pools are too cold. Amenities starting to look tired. Very little information available, had to keep asking which can become hard work.

Beautiful area, the staff at this resort are the best I’ve ever seen, nothing is too much trouble, they really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you want or need!! Definitely 5 star service, can’t wait for our next trip here.

Amazing stay at Vidamar
All in all a fabulous hotel. Everywhere was spotless and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is an amazing very big pool and two smaller and quite warm pools for the kids. It was a bit tricky at times to find a free sun lounger in the afternoons but I guess you will get that anywhere in peak holiday season. There is a great supermarket about 5-10 mins walk from the hotel

The town house was very large and spacious with direct access from the basement car park. The main hotel has several restaurants, bars and pools, including a new adults only club area where you pay €30 or €40 for the day-bed but that money is deducted off your food and drink bill, so after lunch and a few drinks you’re effectively not paying for the day-bed.

The property is not very sound proofed and you can hear people talking and walking in the next villas. The under ground parking is a joke. Its so small its difficult to manouver.

It was our first trip to Portugal and we stayed in one of the Villa's, it was large, well designed with good attention to detail. Cleaned daily.The facilities in the hotel were brilliant, good variety of restaurants, access to Spa and swimming pools. Close to the beach and walk ways.

The Townhouse Villa is superb, huge high standard spaces, great pool, great sun deck, parking for multiple cars and very safe. Staff amazing, close to beach with a great walkway through the nature reserve. Our family loved our week stay here

I love the fact that the property was very spacious and the outdoor pool was a bonus. My favourite part of the property was definitely the garden..... just simply beautiful. I would definitely want to stay here again.

We stayed in the 3 bed villa, it was huge! Well above par for the Algarve. Lots of space for our kids to explore. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel but did use the indoor and outdoor pool and bar areas, all very nice! The direct access to the amazing beach is perfect for families. It is a bit out of Albufeira old town, costing about €17 in taxi's one way, so worth hiring a car. One tip for families is to hire the stair gate, as the stairs are very dangerous for toddlers, our toddler is well able to manage stairs but there is a ledge around the stairs that they could have a bad fall from. Overall a great place to stay.

Amazing Stay
Great and easy check-in. Very clean conditions. Front of house was very helpful and the breakfast was 8/10. The friends I brought on this holiday want to stay here again. We stayed in villas which were cleaned every day and we had round the clock security. The shuttle service was on time and helped with bags and waited when our plane was delayed.

Not enough bars and restaurants close by . The villa was cleaned daily but the maids didn’t clean the toilets daily ! The villa was huge and spacious with a reasonable pool . We were disappointed with the hotel buffet food , it was so busy and big , far too many people ! Queues to get in and for food ! The staff were over worked and grumpy and ordered drinks took a long time to come . We only went once to the main restaurant ! Other good restaurants near by , but 15/20 minutes walk and supermarket 15 mins walk

Amazing villa and place-can’t wait to go again! Only downside was the inability to lock the doors against staff or whoever-seems weird but when the cleaning staff come in from the garage or the main door, it is ofd that you depend just on a red/green card system. Unlike the hotel, where you can double lock it, we were left in a weird position and started to fret about people just letting themselves in with our young kids nearest to the door. Obviously a bit dramatic but there really needs to be an internal chain/locking system

Spacious villa modern with use of resort facilities. Walk to beach was great with many different beaches to walk to. Negative is Gym was small, no air conditioning and old. Not fitting with rest of facilities. Not so convenient to get transportation out of resort but overall great experience

The villas are extremely large and offer you everything that you would need for your stay there. The fact that each villa has its own back garden and pool is an absolute bonus. Unfortunately they do not provide a bbq which would have been a great asset. There is a supermarket approximately 5 minutes walk from the villas which stocks whatever you would require. There is a daily shuttle into town each morning and returns at approx 15.30 each day. Worth ringing reception to book your place as there are limited spaces and go very early in the morning. There are some restaurants within walking distance and the main hotel offers a buffet type dinner which compared to last year was quite poor. They also offer an Italian which is very nice. They also have an enormous swimming pool in the main hotel with a bar a it offers food too. If you miss the free shuttle into town it costs approx €15 each way into town which offers an abundance of bars and restaurants. The old town is very pretty however there is a strip for younger or livelier people which seems very busy. The villa is within a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach which is partly conservatef and has a small beach bar/restaurant which is very sufficient. We would return for a third visit.

Excellent villa for 6 people. Cleaned every day with beds made and towels changed. Have stayed at the hotel previously but as we were with our family wanted more flexibility. Weather superb for late Oct.Swam in the sea and all the pools ,even the unheated pools!

The villa was perfect for our needs
The staff were very helpful Amenities in the villa was perfect; like home away from home There is a nearby small supermarket about 5mins walk You have to call early for the free shuttle it gets booked up fast and then costs between 12-15 euros to get to old town. Wished we could heat up pool Found the stairs leading into the pool was not fully screwed I had small children with me. What I did not like was that the front door could not be opened from outside but from inside there were no locks so a child could just open and go. Overall, liked it and likely to go back again
