"Everything was excellent with friendly staff, lovely peaceful location, great food and the rooms were in great condition. Only faults were the wooden windows were slightly falling apart and weathering with concern about it being secure and enough but that was only thing wrong. Also when we had issue with Television working, the staff were quick and flexible to dealing with issue to ensure it was working again. Overall 10/10"

"Fabulous room with all those little details missed by so many hotels and guest houses, all present. Fabulous breakfast with quality ingredients from local butchers and bakers cooked to perfection. Lovely couple that ran it too. If I had to find one complaint it would be that we couldn’t stay there any longer. This is a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend."

"Lovely comfortable room with en suite and stunning view of the beach across the road from our balcony. Impressed with the high standard of cleanliness and the friendly staff. The included Breakfast was good and we additionally ate at the bar for the 3 nights we stayed as there was an excellent and reasonably priced menu. Overall, very impressed and will come again. "

"The hotel was lovely, and Linda & Des were VERY welcoming and accommodating. They have a little “shop” where you can buy toiletries, wine, drinks, crisps, snacks etc which was very convenient. The breakfasts were AMAAAAZING - lots of options! The only down side was the water was not hot and the water pressure in the shower was low."

"Found the room quite claustrophobic with a very small bathroom and basin in bedroom. No food available as I was the only guest staying. Staff were very nice. Do not think I will stay there again. "

"Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us! Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away. Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve! We will definitely return."
