The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Watch out for the taxi drivers in the lobby. The first we dealt with (Dean) waaay overcharged and did not give us a rate in the beginning. (They need to run him off.) After that, he made himself scarce. The other driver (Pat) was very nice and fair. Highly recommend him. During our stay, we didn't realize ALL of the offerings at the hotel (bar, nightclub, pool bar, casino, theatres, casino) were closed except for the pool. I did ask and receive a room upgrade, but that came with it's share of challenges. Breakfast is delivered to the room, but not at a consistent time. Sometime between 7:30-9:30 am. One day, I let them know we were leaving early for a fishing trip. Didn't get breakfast that day...ok...but didn't see it the rest of the week. Honestly, no great loss. Wish we'd known how much of the hotel and city were shut down due to COVID, but we managed to have fun. Highly recommend catching the water taxi to Caye Caluker!
