Such a hidden gem!! It's a late 1800's in the lobby and modern amenities in the room. If I had time, I could spend hours wondering around the floors looking at all the artifacts in the halls! Rooms are cozy, modern, clean! If you are anywhere near Amsterdam NY and need a hotel - try this one out!

The room was clean and spacious. The price was very reasonable. I enjoyed talking with the night auditor, who provided me with information about the Castle and the Kennedy Room, which I visited. I would definitely stay again.

Everything was clean and fresh. Nice staff, good mattress, big bathroom and tub. My only complaint is the pillows were all different, ranging from squishy soft to hard as a brick; it made me glad I brought my own.

The amsterdam castle is uniquely decorated and steeped in history. Vety helpful staff and so friendly. Stars Cafe a local diner was great for breakfast or lunch. The ambiance and welcoming vibe had us stop again after leaving lake George We will stop again at the hotel if we are able.
