"I was very disappointed with my recent stay at the Fontainebleau. The condition of the room fell far below expectations for a hotel of this reputation and price point. Upon arrival, the room was noticeably unclean, with dirty carpeting and an overall lack of proper housekeeping standards. Additionally, several fixtures were outdated or not functioning properly, including broken light fixtures and a malfunctioning door key reader, which created unnecessary inconvenience. Equally concerning was the level of service. Interactions with staff were consistently unprofessional and, at times, outright rude, which only compounded the negative experience. Overall, this stay did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, or customer service. I would not recommend this property based on my experience."

"The Catalina never fails when it comes to food but my stay this time was pretty average. My room wasn't ready on time and I felt like the gentleman that was checking me in showed no since of urgency. He just said have a seat and I'll let you know. After sitting for about 30 minutes with no follow up from him, I went back to the front desk and my room still wasn't ready. I think decided to go next door to Taco Taco and have a drink. Honestly, I feel like the drinks and an appetizer should have been on the house. Also, they need to stop advertising the free airport transportation, as this is no longer a perk for staying with this hotel group. "

"The color of my skin definitely played apart of the reason my stay was very uncomfortable. The way the staff talked to was deplorable and my room was not cleaned the whole time I was there. I had to call to ask for trash bags and I cleaned the room myself. To add my sheets weren’t changed during my stay either. I would never come back."

"The Mondrian had all the appearances of a great place to stay for a weekend in the sun, but the devil is in the details. Checking in on a Fri, my room wasn't serviced until late afternoon on Sun. There was no body wash in the shower, though a space for one, so I used a bar soap. Then when I did get the servicing late Sun, a bottle with a very small amount was left in my bathroom but not mounted nor able to be mounted in my shower. There were smokers around the pool, and the smoking rules were not enforced. Yet any attempt to bring simply a water bottle to the pool was thwarted. The prices for the cabanas were very high, and thus many were unused. I would love to have used one but wasn't going to spend 400-500/day. The food at the restaurant was pretty decent but overpriced. Staff was generally pleasand and helpful, though name tags were not worn consistently, hence I can't really give them any shoutouts. One bright spot was the fact they provided free sunscreen at the bar, a lovely scented one at that."

"This is clear in the listing but first things first, in case this makes you uncomfy: This hotel does not have a traditional front desk or front desk staff. I am personally fine with this and there is someone local who is reachable via text that can come to the location if needed so for me, that totally works. If you need more of a concierge type of service, this is probably not the right place to stay. Location: This could not be more centrally located for Miami Beach. It literally overlooks Espanola Way where there are tons of restaurants and bars and ice cream places. You are two blocks from South Beach. There's great shopping two blocks in a different direction. You're one street over from all the gorgeous art deco buildings. There are parks located two blocks in yet another direction. You get the point--very accessible to all the fun stuff. I did not have a car for this trip and was able to either walk or Uber easily to any of the places I wanted to go. Room itself was very comfortable, nice size and well appointed. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. Despite being very close to the street where people are out and about til late hours, I did not experience any of that street noise in my room. Safety: You have a code to get into the building as well as into the room, so I always felt safe. Location also felt safe. Really good value for the price & would definitely stay again!"
