this was an amazing place to stay facing the turnagain arm. Was a great place to rest after a day of adventuring and exploring. There’s even a bar and restaurant downstairs to get food as well.

We like the location, it was an average room, need table or shelves in the rm,
Beds r small..
It’s a good overnight stay. The location is great, small bedroom but enough if you are only staying for one night or two. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We I’ll stay here again.
Excellent rustic property next to a great place to eat. Wonderful staff.

The Brown Bear Saloon is a very unique property and although the rooms are very basic (this is reflected in the price) the staff are wonderful, helpful, friendly and the food is good. We enjoyed our stay there.
Great property! Just opened for nightly rentals. Very nice authentic Alaska cabin feel. Has a stove and refrigerator so you can bring food with you. The Brown Bear Saloon is on-site and has some good food choices - especially liked the sweet potato fries. There are some breakfast options nearby as well. Beds were comfy and it was very quiet and clean. We really enjoyed our stay!

Minimalist room in an old rustic building that provided a clean comfortable place to stay for one night. Very quiet even with the saloon below. We had a delicious hamburger in the saloon. Laid back and friendly staff! Very good choice if you don’t need a tv and are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep out of high priced Anchorage and Girdwood. We would stay there again!
Thank you so much, was great to get of the city, apologizes did not bring back the Bear spray, so helpful... A Piece of Paradise..
Gratitudes to the staff an locals..

It's a room just above the bar. Small but comfortable.has a microwave but no fridge and NO TV it fits our needs as we were just using the room for a place to sleep after a day of hiking and site seeing
This place ended up being great. It was the most reasonable and you got the most for your money, friendly people eager to help wonderful time. The food was fantastic and great priced.
The rental itself is kind of like staying at a friend’s- the bed was comfortable and neat, there were some little quirks to the space, but felt completely safe and love off-the-beaten-path places like this. The owner and the bartender were AMAZING and so friendly downstairs, the hamburger tasted fresh off a backyard grill delicious, and oh my gosh you are RIGHT on Seward Highway.

The room was clean, and cozy. The saloon and its staff are amazing!
We had a nice little cabin all to ourselves. The lady at the Saloon, who seemed to often be running the place all by herself (waiting tables, cooking, taking care of payment, etc. always took time to take care of our concerns (get us supplies such as toilet paper, etc.). We were well taken care of, and it was a nice, quiet place. The food offered in the Saloon was good also. Add to this the fact that this was one of the least expensive options and it was a very good deal.
The Brown Bear Saloon and Hotel was clean, comfortable, and cute. The staff were super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with other guests as we ate in the bar downstairs. Nice little park across the road from the hotel. This place is not fancy or luxurious, but it has everything you need for a safe and comfortable overnight stay.
