Motel 6 Closure Without Customer Notice
I can’t really give a review because when we showed up for our reservations at The Motel 6 1542 Whitehall Rd Annapolis, Maryland on Saturday March 3rd there was a sign across the drive that said WE ARE CLOSED. I realize now that the motel probably had no power due to the storm however it would have been nice to receive an e-mail informing us of that problem and that the motel had to close. But now instead of receiving an apology for our inconvenience of having no accommodations for the night and/or a discount/coupon for a future stay, I receive an e-mail asking “How was my stay?” Needless to say.... I won’t be booking a room at a Motel 6 anytime soon!

Allowed Early Check-In
The service was great! The front desk employee allowed us to check in early at a discounted rate. Basically, we drove all night and we paid half a day to check in at 6am. This allowed us to get a couple of hours of rest before having to work. The room was clean. The location was convenient and felt safe/secure. Pet friendly (we travel with our dogs, which is why we generally choose to stay at Motel 6). Most locations, as long as you report them at check in, there are no extra fees associated with dogs, as long as they are not left in the room alone. This was our first work trip to this area, but when we return, we will stay here again. It is conveniently located in between Washington D.C. and Baltimore; and it is convenient to the highway.

Perfect location
I’ve run the Across The Bay 10k 3 times and I’ve always stayed here the night before. It’s convenient to the race.

We wanted to stay overnight after the Navy game...
...and the staff were polite and helpful, for instance exchanging the one smoking room I inadvertently chose for non, and being very welcoming. We also felt safe and that the rooms were clean. The facility is utilitarian, and a bit/quite tired. It had the very basics. If that’s what you are looking for, it works.

The motel was clean. The bed mattress was not very comfortable, because we could feel the springs in the mattress.

No breakfast included
Card key didn't work I had to go back to get another one. They don't include breakfast, we had to drive 1 or miles to get something to eat. The room is visible old and rusty.

WORST HOTEL EVER!
the airconditioner was flooding the floor and we I asked to be moved it was a problem, I was given towels to soak the water up. I finally got so mad and they moved us. Then roaches were crawling all over the place and we had to put out bags outside in fear that the bugs would get in our clothes. We did not sleep due to this. I asked for my money back and the hotel refused to give me a refund.

QUIET PLACE TO REST AND RELAX.
I USED THIS HOTEL AS HOLDING PLACE WHILE WAITING FOR MY DAUGHTER'S WEDDING. WAS QUIET PLACE TO SLEEP AND WHILE NOT THE RITZ CARLTON WAS A NICE REASONABLY PRICE HOLDING AREA FOR WEDDING PREPS. THE STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. I SPENT 8 DAYS FOR MY PARTY OF THREE ADULTS. THEN HAD 4 DAYS FOR MY DAUGHTER THAT WAS GETTING MARRIED AND HER HUSBAND. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AS IT WAS WITHIN EASY COMMUTE/WALK TO THE WATER. HOWEVER, IT WAS ABOUT 15-20 MINUTE DRIVE TO OTHER THAN PIZZA/FAST FOOD ESTABLISHMENTS. ALL IN ALL WAS IDEAL FOR THE PURPOSE I NEEDED AND SPACIOUS ROOM FOR LUGGAGE AND OTHER ITEMS REQUIRED FOR EXTENDED STAY.

Great if visiting Downtown Annapolis on a budget!
Room and everything in it was cleaner than I expected after reading previous reviews. Staff were very polite... 15 minutes away from Downtown... Oh and the price was right! Would definitely stay again if needed.

It was just ok...almost
Unfortunately my stay was not so nice. The hallways had a stale cig. smoke smell. The walls were resently painted, but the smoke still lingered. The coffee was only available in the lobby. So you had to be dressed properly to go get a cup.And it was a weak flavored coffee at that. The room was clean enough.

Super 6 continental breakfast, there was none. The ad said it had continental breakfast, it did not. Just coffee and juice in the morning. Room very small. People at the front desk were not helpfull at all. We paid for 3 nights, and after the first night we did not want to stay there any longer. Next to freeway. Asked if we could get a refund for the last day, front desk person said he would have to ask the owner and get back to us. (never happen) You are better off to pay a extra $ 20.00 or so dollars, and have a nicer place to stay. What ad said on the internet is not so.

Could have been better
The hotel could not find our reservation. Even upon showing the confirmation, still did not accept that I had one without making me call Hoteis.com. I waited over 20 minutes to check in because of this. The room we were in had cracks in the ceiling and wall, a patched ceiling and some roaches. The breakfast area didn't even have the juice machine working and there was rolled up carpet and an old air conditioner laying in it.

convenient spot for the tired driver
it was exactly what I expected for a room for less than $100. Convenient, clean, good for the night. if you're looking for a five-star hotel experience, you're not looking at Motel 6 . But if you're looking clean sheets, a place to park your car, and park your head for the night… Don't hesitate

Complete inconvenience
My boyfriend and I were traveling for about 11 hours that day and I had booked a room with my PayPal account through Hotel.com. It was the third time that I had booked a room with my PayPal account. When I went to check in, the front desk guy said I had a reservation but my payment had been declined. Which made no sense because the card that came up in the system was a complete different card than the one that is linked toyou paypal. He certainly was rude about it. Needless to say we didn't get a room that night and we had to sleep in my car. I will never go back to THIS motel 6.

Not bad, but could have been better
Check in was easy. Room was small. We felt cramped with the king sized bed, oversized desk chair and another chair. Plug next to sink wasn't ground faulted and was the only available outlet to plug in electronics. Shampoo and lotion was not provided and the tv did not carry local channels. Breakfast was not provided, however I didn't think to check on this prior to booking.

Dead Roach behind fridge. Sheets stained.
Very dirty along walls. Did not feel clean or comfortable in the room. Called front desk and had to ask if it was the front desk because all they said was hello. Couldn't walk around bed because desk chair in the way. Very small room and bathroom.

when we booked this hotel through expedia we were told the hotel was pet friendly, little did we know when our dog barked for 5 minutes when we left to go shopping at the local mall, we faced a "dog fine" when we returned, our dog and belongings locked in the room, our key wouldn't work, we went to the front desk and paid the fine and got our key turned back on to enter the room....we know he only barked shortly because we waited in the stair well and waited till he stopped before we left.....needless to say we checked out and found another accomodating hotel......and no refund from motel 6 or expedia........we were only checked in for 4 1/2 hours before we departed..........they say we used our reservation haha

we booked on Orbitz... they said we were booked for the next day and " they couldn't fix it" So we had to pay MORE to stay in a substandard room with a door that didn't even lock (which we discovered in the morning) Then the housekeeping staff showed up in the halls at 7 AM, YELLING at each other making it impossible to sleep.

Good hotel for the value. Looks like its under new management as the hallways were being renovated, and the bathroom was updated. Still a lot more to be done.
