Kimpton Hotel Arras by IHG

Kimpton Hotel Arras by IHG

8/10 Good
"The hotel staff, from valet, front desk, restaurant and bar, were fantastic. They were engaging, pleasant and helpful. The biggest issue was, at times, we weren't sure if we were in a hotel or dog boarding kennel. These were not service animals, but rather guests' personal, ill behaved pets and they were everywhere from lobby, rooms and restaurant. We had one next to us barking at 11pm for two nights in a row. When addressed, the solution offered was earplugs - wrong answer. Great location, central to many restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and modern. No reason for anything but 5 stars, except for the dogs. One additional note - there are a lot of homeless in vicinity of the hotel. Most keep to themselves, but some are panhandling. It was obvious as we neared the property and upon check-in, I asked about the homeless situation and safety. The front desk attendant's response was, "what homeless?" I'm not sure if it was a joke or if she was truly oblivious, but I didn't pursue an additional explanation. There is a noticeable police presence throughout the area and we never felt concerned about walking freely during the day."

10/10 Excellent
"We have never stayed at a Crowne Plaza resort before, but I’m so glad we stayed here. This place is absolutely fantastic. The lobby is gorgeous. The check-in is simple and easy and the staff is very friendly. They have a bar in the large lobby and a restaurant beyond the bar that stays open until 10 PM. Great food and great service. They have an outdoor pool and hiking and biking trails and zip lining. If you’re an outdoor person, this is a place to go. They also have outdoor dining if you’d like to eat outdoors if you want a really nice place to go they have very nice spacious clean rooms. You will enjoy this place."

"It’s a beautiful place to stay. Sadly, the restaurant is closed, but you’re close to a lot of different places to eat. The rooms are clean, except I found a pair of shoes under the bed. The laundry machine is there; the full kitchen is accessible with dishes. The staff was friendly every day, asking if we needed anything, and the dog walks were beautiful."
