“My partner and I stayed in the top floor room with the terrace. There was a fantastic view of Palamidi Fortress which glowed in golden hour, and you could catch the sunset from the far end. Free parking was very close with many available spaces. The host is very welcoming and friendly. He supplied a map with great recommendations for restaurants, bars, cafes and brunch spots. “Our stay at Aethra was good. The staff were helpful. We really liked that the location was in the old town area and thus very convenient to many things to do. The courtyard is also nice for breakfast. Our room was very spacious. That said, the breakfast itself could perhaps use an upgrade. Also, the shower in our bathroom was quite dangerous: the shower head was positioned so that it sprayed on the floor outside the shower stall, leading to very slippery conditions. “An amazing little hotel with very friendly owners/staff. Only six rooms but a decent-sized pool with easily enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all. We used the hotel as a 12-day base for multiple roadtrips to Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae and others, but every other guest only stayed 1 or 2 nights on stopovers.
